EPICenter V4.0 (build39)
Eview config and statstic browsing on summit24 (6.2e.1b17) don't work why ?
work fine on Summit48 and 5i

It works with a summit24e3 (6.2.1b15), so it should work with the b17. Do you have ROM enabled? and are you able to add it to inventory without any errors? Do you have any ACL's that may be blocking it?

ROM enabled
how do i enable ROM ?

i have add it to the inventory without errors

i do not have ACL, for blocking Epic center

Sorry Radar, a made a typo RMON, if this isn't enable you won't get the stats, the command is 'enable Rmon' without quotes.

the Config and Stats area in EPICenter are just a view of the switches information available via the web interface of that switch. If you dont have the web option enabled, the information won't appear in the eview area. I think its as simple as "enable web" to get it working.

enable web

syntax error at token web ?

The only thing I can think of is that your particular load of 6.2e.1b17 doesn't support the web interface. The easiest way to test is to bring up your browser and enter
" (enter the IP configured on your switch here) and if a web based management page comes up, its enabled. Do it to your other switches that do work to see what I mean. If this is the case, upgrade to a later version of code or call 1-888-257-3000 and ask tech support what the deal is.

I'm not sure if the summit24's have that capability, I just compared my summit24 to my BlackDiamond. The BD has the enable web cmd, where as the summit24 doesn't. I know in order to receive the port utilization and errors from a switch into the the RT stats of EPI center you need to enable RMON, if RMON is disabled you can still pole it into inventory as long as your SMNP config is correct.

Radar telnet into your switch and type 'enable rmon' without quotes, hit enter, then check your RTstats in EPI Center. Otherwise do as Comstocb said and call the 1-888-257-3000,

cut ---------------

from switch show config de

i just got extremeware 6.2e.1 build 20 but no web :-(

So at this point, If when you go into EPI center and select RTstats and select you summit24, if it doesn't poll utilization and errors. I would have to say, call ExtremeTAC. good luck

RTstats ar ok it's only EView config and EView statistics (status are ok but slow updating)?

How do you define slow? Is it the same as RT stats or just slow pulling up the page?

it's working now, i have shut a port down, and then enable the port again, epicenter show the port as closed >5 hours
now it works real time ???

we have been told that summit24e3 dont have a I' chipset it why it dosent work 100% in EPIcenter :-(
