!!! Entry point not found

Windows Media Player will not launch on my NT4 sys- I get an error "The procedure entry point EnumDisplayMonitors could not be located in the dynamic link library USER 32.DLL"
How do I repair this library? I have un/re-installed mplayer several times with no change, and no other apps have any problems.

what service pack you got ?
user32.dll might simply be outdated ...
get sp6a

what version of media player is it ? are you sure its the nt4 version ?

I've tried NT4 and W2K versions with identical results. Some other media players also give this error, but only when attempting to read .avi files.

located in the dynamic link library dm.dll

Then well known &quot;Blue screen&quot; appear. Contact Sys. Admin.

Welcome any suggestions to fix it.
