Entourage crashes

Hey All.

So I have Entourage running on OS-X. It just shuts down every once in a while on me. It really happens alot. Does anyone know if there is a bug in it? Maybe a fix out there?

I thought it could be a font problem, but my fonts are pretty much in order and shouldn't be effecting it.

Any ideas?

I really need to know what machine you're running, how much RAM you have installed, which version of X you have ... before I can offer a rational approach to problem solving.

I have the same Entourage X crash problems you describe. I have the same problems with 2 G3s (B&W and a cube). It has occured both after upgrading to 10.2.1 and with 10.1.X. Seems to happen more when sending mail. I hoped Entourage sr1 would help, but...no. Also did recent office update ... still no help. It seems to be related to lots of apps running at the same time. I have 512 and often have 4 or 5 apps open.

Yeah dnaman. I have issues at work and at home on G4s. I am now thinking that it doesn't crash as often if I do not check my IMAP mail.

When I am only checking POP it seems fine. I check four accounts with it. But when I try to get my work IMAP e-mail I lose it.

Who knows.

Have you tried rebuilding/compacting your databases? I have found that to cure many ills. (Hold down option while booting.)

I have a problem in that, as of yesterday, Entourage refuses to open at all. If I try and open it from the dock, the little flashing arrow appears beneath its symbol, but that just flashes a couple of times then disappears. If I try and open it from the Finder, the black 'expanding window' lines appear that come out of an icon when you double click to open an application then nothing.

I've tried holding down option (You are talking about the alt key aren't you?) when loading the program from both places but it makes no difference. I've been using Entourage without any problems for a couple of months and now it won't open at all! Most frustrating.
