Entourage and Exchange

I have one Mac Laptop with MSOffice for Mac running Entourage.

It will receive e-mails from the server but it will only allow sending of e-mails internally, the user can go on the Windows PC in the office and send and receive through exchange using outlook.

Any ideas on what needs to be done>?

In the exchange you need to set realy for the new MAC.
All you need to do is get the mac ip address and insert it in the realy option.
I had the same problem.

Are you receiving any error messages??

There is an authentication option that you have to enable on the account profile in order to send out emails. If I remember corectly is the "send email with same authentication account" or something like that. Something to take into consideration is that the shortname is used as the username in windows.

I will look into that, the message I got was that it was unable to relay. I had heard that you should turn off relay to stop spam.

My Entourage clients all work correctly without relaying. Are you using IMAP4 or not?
