Hi
I am trying to get an iMac G5 with Tiger OS to connect to our Exchange server 2004 and our DC and file server which is Win 2003 (they are all patched up.)
I can send email, but cannot recieve.
I have tried to set up the AD bit too.
I cannot connect to the server either, whether smb or via IP address. It says the alias is broken and it cannot fix it.
Has anyone any good ideas/tutorials/inspiration they could send?
Thanks in advance
Harry

Get Exchange 2003 not Exchange 2004 for a start :)

Get Entourage 2004. Then SP2 for it. Then use the wizard to install it.

Then on Windows, go to Computer Management, Shares. Right click shares, edit the Mac bit, set the encryption to Apple Clear Text.

Job done. Robert is a relative of yours.

HI
Thanks - Exchange 2003 - as you say!!
I found I did not have my IMAP server on. Once on it seems OK.
Thanks
Lewej
P.S. Cannot connect to server. I'll think I'll raise a new post.

Install IMAP4, enable it, make sure it is running in ESM.

Sort out client networking, especially DNS, domain name etc.
Install Entourage, apply SP2 then run the wizard.

Test connectivity to OWA if Entourage doesn't work.
