I've just installed Enterprise Manager on a site with an SX2K for the first time.

When an EM Client PC logs on to the SX2K the numeric key pad does not always work, ie PF4,PF3,PF2 Keys. The customer is getting frustrated and it causing me loads of hassle.

Any ideas........... anyone...........please!

You have to press the "Esc"ape key before the number. So, for PF2, you'd press <ESC> then 2.

Will E/M be used to do any system status (alarm) monitoring on the SX2K and if so is the SX2K control-redundant?

Check the alarm filter settings (selected sites) and escalation policy settings (selected sites) the next day after an overnight activity xfr. I've seen occasions in a mixed system where the monitored 2K site became unselected and stopped paging for alarms after the 2k switched activity. Seemed to only happen on the redundant systems. Alarms were still being reported in Emgr client, just that the esc pollicy and alarm filters (pager alerts) stopped working. 3300s and Microlights seem to stay selected.

The old paging method in Opsmgr still works.
