Enterprise Manager service wont start

I have installed Enterprise Manager V5.0 UR1, however the EMS/NMS service wont start. Any ideas????

It is odd. Keep looking in logs. Did installation go smooth, any warnings?

what java version are you running. had a similar issue about a year ago. changed the java version to the same as the controller's java version back then and it worked.

weird but that was the issue. I think I was running 3300 version 7 or something odd.
