Hi,

I just start learning Oracle 10g. I just finished installing Oracle 10g Personal Edition on Windows XP (evalution copy). I have already setup the database (ORCL, SID=ORCL). I typed:

emctl status dbconsole

It said ORACLE_SID not define. So I defined it as:

Set ORACLE_SID=ORCL

I restarted:

emctl start dbconsole (stop and restart).

I launched Enterprise Manager. It prompt me for username, password, and connect as

Username=sys
password=******
connect as=SYSDBA.

However, after I clicked on LOGIN, it repeatly restart the process.

Thank for reading. Thank for your help.

Can you log in as user system, assuming it has the default password?

I want to be good, is that not enough?
