Comwin comes with a tool GenXML, which will generate the XML for you and it has samples you can load, including EntGW. Latest version of Comwin is always the best because it will have the latest tool, I think XML tool is V3.1.11.
Tool is in c:\program files (x86)\Hipath 4000 Expert Access\Apps, it's called genXML.cbl.
I would not expect you to need to activate it, it should come up working, but if not, you can dea/act USSU, and EXEC-USSUELAP and CONFAP to stop/start the connection to the shelf.
License would always be needed. If the shelf is not licensed, it will work normally with 30 days grace, and after that, peripherals on the shelf can't be configured, although they will still work.
@Moriendi
thank you so much , I'm using the xml file generator tool , and can configure it but the only thing missing to me where should the IP address of The stmix (signaling) should be addressed on the xml file or we only using the Aprt Ip address ?
Regards
The signalling comes from either SIPCO CCA or CCB, whichever is active. So you see those IPs in the XML. The STMIX uses the BFDAT function HG3570, which provides the VOIP RTP payload for the HHS<>IP shelf connection, there is no signalling from there, you won't see HG3570 IPs in the XML.
@ Moriendi
that's perfect understood , the only remaining thing to me how to assign the configured stMIX HG3570 to the enterprise gateway , and the Enterprise gateway how to know his assigned STMIX HG3570 if i have more than one ? ,
You don't assign it. The 4K will use any available HG3570, if there is more than one they are used round-robin. EntGW is not 'tied' to any particular HG3570, and you couldn't do that even if you wanted to. All IP shelves will use all HG3570s.
Hi , I configured survivable enterprise gateway and working everything seems to be okay , but the problem on the survivability when remove the network cable of the host (simplex ) the enterprise gateway gone , no dial tone can not make any call with the same shelf attached below the current configuration any advise please

Are you waiting long enough for the swithover to occur? APESU looks OK as both host and CC-AP are connected. Has the backup to AP Backup Server taken place OK? Without that, there is no database on the APE. What does HISTA say is happening? Can you login to the RMX on the APE processor and check state? That has a running Assistant the same as the normal 4K, you can connect to RMX through that.
Hi Moriendi , the backup to AP Backup Server taken place OK and synchronized , i can login on the ape processor but i see all status and cards as not attached or not operational , i dont know why doesnt have same status as the host ? i think this is my problem . but the AP backup fine , also when i switch to emergency mode using apesue it can be working but couldn't ring any ext in the host
>> , i can login on the ape processor but i see all status and cards as not attached or not operational
This is normal if normal 4K (HHS) is in control. Does it say this when APE (CC-AP) is in control?
>> when i switch to emergency mode using apesue it can be working but couldn't ring any ext in the host
What does this mean, can be working? You mean it looks like it worked but doesn't? If you can't ring any ext, you mean from IP shelf to same IP shelf ? There is no dial tone?
Maybe post your XML, and some screenshots from the HHS and APE AP backup status, history, CC-APs etc.
Hi Moriendi , attached both xml for the host and the enterprise gateway also screen shoot for both home screen which indicate the both ap backup is ok .
If you can't ring any ext, you mean from IP shelf to same IP shelf ? There is no dial tone?
i mean the extensions on IPDA shelf can not dial any extension in any other shelf connected direst to the host .
but if i removed the network cable of the host :
no dial tone in the ext on the IPDA shelf and can not dial any ext whatever in the same shelf or any other shelf
If you browse to the Portal of the APE, does it show an A on the virtual OLED?
I think you need HISTA from both processors, from after you made a switch. From the CC-AP and the main processor.
>> i mean the extensions on IPDA shelf can not dial any extension in any other shelf connected direst to the host .
This is normal, if the shelf is in APE mode It can only ring other shelves controlled by the same CC-AP.
If you have this issue even when the shelf is working normally, you have some other problem. Is the HG3570 in ready state, and connected ? Can you ping it from the IP shelf ?

so that should be ok , but why when remove the network cable from the host the APE gone without automatic switch
So shelf 20 is up and working OK.
You can make an exe-apesu and switch to emergency, and that works, but shelf 20 extn can not then dial another shelf 20?
For this, make a sta-hista:search; and a dis-bcsu:Tbl; from Comwin connecting to the CC-AP RMX.
Shelf 20 does not switch to emergency if you unplug lan from host.
So you are unplugging the IPDA LAN from the HHS?
In that case, SIPCO APESWDLY is 5 mins. It will take 5 minutes to switch. Did you wait that long?
If you make that timer shorter, then you run the risk of APESU switchover when you did not want. 5 minutes is OK.
All those HSR errors do not like correct to me, it implies some error with ip/config/routing.
Also, don't forget if you made any change to RMX config, you must make a new HBR AP Backup, and wait for CC-AP to sync, or CC-AP will still be using the old database.
So shelf 20 is up and working OK. yes
You can make an exe-apesu and switch to emergency yes
, and that works yes
, but shelf 20 extn can not then dial another shelf 20? ext in shelf 20 can dial ext in shelf 20 only and you confirmed that's right behavior
For this, make a sta-hista:search; and a dis-bcsu:Tbl; from Comwin connecting to the CC-AP RMX.
Shelf 20 does not switch to emergency if you unplug lan from host. yes
also if i unplug the lan from the emergency ECo server the same
So you are unplugging the IPDA LAN from the HHS? yes
In that case, SIPCO APESWDLY is 5 mins. It will take 5 minutes to switch. Did you wait that long?
waited without any change
If you make that timer shorter, then you run the risk of APESU switchover when you did not want. 5 minutes is OK.
changed the thrshold in apeasue to be 1 min and backup ap then restore but still the same
All those HSR errors do not like correct to me, it implies some error with ip/config/routing.
i think so
