I have a Crystal Report that prompts me for a password in the Report Designer. It reads an Access query which pulls data from an ODBC linked password-protected SQL view. I enter the password and the data is displayed - as it should.

The problem comes in when trying to run this in Enterprise. I get no prompt - so nothing happens. I've been unsuccessful with providing the password to Enterprise. Any ideas? What if I had this setup on a more robust db like MySQl?

Thanks

When you link the View into MS Access, select remember password and it will no longer prompt.

CE will attempt to pass a password to Access when Access requires one, but it won't do so without customized code if it's a linked table embedded within Access, that's a different process.

Sicne CE already has security, it seeems odd to use pass through passwords to underlying SQL Server databases within the report.
