Entering Data in a SubForm

Hi,

I have a form that I am trying to work with. It is getting data from two tables and I'm trying to manually enter data into the a sub form of the main form.

Basically, I have a form with about 30 fields from 2 seperate tables. All but one of the fields is to marked as not modifiable - i.e an end user can only modify one field based on the data in the other fields.

Right now, I have it set up so that everything displays correctly in the form (it is not pretty yet) but none of the fields in the sub form are editable???? By the way - the data for the sub form is coming from a query.

If anyone has any ideas that would be great. I am happy to send the file if necessary!

So is the query an updatable query?

To check, run the query from the database window, try to update a row, is it possible to update it?

THanks for the reply - I actually found that you need to enable the subform to be editable! Go figure.

THe query could be edited from the query results window though!
