I am using WIN2000 with a dual boot with Win98. I am experiencing a problem with both enter keys. It works fine on Win98, but when I use Win2000, it does not work. Sometimes, if I sign on and do not let any IE windows come up, I can get it to work in Word, but most of the time, I cannot use it. Does anyone know a fix? It started happening sometime in the middle of February. I believe it was after the Windows Security updates were installed. please help. Karol Stolarz

You might try changing your Lauguage setting from US International to just US. Also you can try updating your driver for that keyboard.

I checked and the language is US and also I have re-installed the driver. I am using a Compaq USB keyboard, if that helps. I also got a new keyboard and that did not help the problem.

I would get my Windows 2000 and boot my system from it. Enter the recovery console and recovery the system. First you can try reinstalling sp4. There has been some know issues that service pack will fix.

Did your USB keyboard come with a PS\2 adapter so that the keyboard can be plugged in either. If so, try using you keyboard in the PS\2 port and see if the problem goes away. Just a suggestions, hope it helps.
