'Enter' character in Memo field

I am linking to an Oracle table, and one of the fields is a memo field. The data is set up for one line, such a a name or address, then it is supposed to go to the next line. But when I display in Access, the 'enter' key (displayed as a thick vertical line in Access) does not drop down to the next line. Is there anyway I can display this correctly?

Yes, unfortuneately that did not work.

Oh dear.

Have you tried examining the actual data character by character to ensure that what you think is a CRLF (ie chr(13) followed by chr(10)), is in fact a CRLF combination

Note CRLF is carriage return linefeed

You can do this by cycling through the characters with code like

for i = 1 to len(mymemo)
? asc(Mid(mymemo,i,1))
next i

Have you tried to display Replace(NameOfMemo, vbLf, vbLfCr) ?
