Hi, I'm trying to put in a speed dial (abbreviated dial) in a menu tree. I can key the number in, but the gal responds with "I don't understand that command."

The number is an 11 digit with *9*99999 added for the long distance code.

Can menu trees use speed dials?

Thanks!

Only mailboxes can be entered as choices for menu trees.

A mailbox could then have an extension programmed that matches the SD short code.

The SD would then dial the actual digits.

With respect to the LD code, does the SD work when dialed directly from an internal station?

Heya Kwb, yes the extension works but the person who wanted this now has changed her mind and wants the recipient to just dial in and grab her mail.

Thanks!!

Not quite understanding your last.

What I understood:
- Suggestion worked but help no longer required.

Correct?

Yessir, your idea worked, but the person who was to get the calls didn't want them coming directly to her (as its a house line). So I gave her a phantom ext and mbox so she can check her voice mail herself.
