Hi Experts,

Can we enhance any existing AddItem to include our custom fields?

Example:-

Suppose we take Document(SubType = 144) under AddItem, with which we can add a document into the content server. When we click on Add Document we will get a wizard with some sections like
1) Document :
2) Version Control :
3) Name :
4) Description :
5) Classification :
6) Custom Section :

If I want to enhance with
1) Add a new section in this wizard with some "Custom Section" to populate my own value.
2) Populating my own logic in the Classification section with which I can add logic to get the Classification value from other configuration.

I tried to debug to trace the html file file but could not get any clue, I noticed that there are call to webnode and documenttemplate modules.

Any input or help is appriciated.

Is this type of requirment achievable?

Thanks & Regards

Yes, the best approach is probably via extending the Weblingo, along with the supporting OScript to achieve what you need. I notice you've posted a few posts recent;y, have you done the OpenText OScript courses as they will cover this and give you the foundations you need to move forward on questions like this ?

Hi Greg Griffiths,

Thanks for your reply, I have not attended those courses.

I have gone through the document CSIDE Fundamentals, with that knowledge i am continuing. With Appu Nair's suggestions I am able to complete on the requirments I posted. A big thanks to Appu here.

Regarding the current requirment, I am not able to trace the correct weblingo file which is being used when Add Document is selected. Can you suggest me the one which i need to look for?

Thanks & Regards

if you enable the Weblingo option to show the weblingo path names - assuming you on 10.5 as you mention CSIDE - then you should see the path name in the source code, from there I would follow to replace that file, then you'll need to do whatever code changes you need for you additions to handle their data.
