I've been working with Release 2 in a couple of different classrooms and noticed something odd.

One of the common methods of getting a field from the field explorer onto a report is to double-click. This doesn't seem to work anymore in R2. Has anyone else run into this 'enhancement'?

Hi,
I cannot do that in V10 either( never tried it in R1, R2 came out so quickly)
..In both 10 and XI R2, I right-click and pick Insert into report ( or just drag and drop)

I've been able to double-click on a field and then drop it on the report since about v6 through Xi R1 and it's worked just fine. It works in my v10.

It just seems strange that it apparently no longer works at all in R2.

Could you point out the download link for updating Crystal XI to Crystal XI R2?

I can't find it on the Business Objects web site.

view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.

Hi,
Also, it is more of a new release than an upgrade, so I would recommend uninstalling R1 before installing R2.
I have had several developers report that an in-place upgrade causes issues ( not very specific, but that is all the info I have)
..

It will correct another strange behavior:
If your Enterprise version is R2, the R1 CRXI cannot connect to it, so no direct opening/save as actions are possible.
CRXI R2 can connect fine ( But, oddly, so can CR10 )
