Has anyone had any experience with the new EnGenius Durafon 1X Cordless? I would like to add one to a Partner ACS 4.0.

If so has anyone used the Xfter PBX soft keys to program system functions? I would like to program such things as Line pickup (68) Transfer, and put intercom stations on speed dial buttons or in the phone book.

Thanks,

Stuart B. weitz

I have seen a few threads where peaple quit selling them due to relabblity and warranty issues .

have you looked at the long range motorla ? I quoted one the other day but customer didnt want to spend the money . looks good though.

Thanks for the info. What is the model number of the Motorola cordless? I need to cover 40,000 sq feet of open factory space.

motorala cls1450cb both a cordless phone and two way radio , says it covers 100,000 sqaure feet .

my customer bought her own chepo cordless phones and she called this moring reporting problems

(off course its the system and not her phones )

Have used the other engenius phones, worked great, speed dials worked fine. Flash button works as a transfer key.

You do not always get what you pay for, but you never get what you do not pay for.

We sell both Engenius SN920s and SpectraLinks (The latter is the best cordless I have ever seen, but the price reflects that).

How does the Motorola compare?

SpectraLinks are not compatible with Partner ACS, so I have been told. Have you used the SpectraLinks with Partner and if so how does it work and what is the model number? SN-920 has been discontinued and replaced with the much improved Durfon 1X.

Isaw the one you said was discontinued on sale on the web yesterday. I think it may be still available. Possible just your supplier stopped carrying it?

You do not always get what you pay for, but you never get what you do not pay for.

I believe you can use a spectralink with an avaya, but only as a single line device (hence, without the bells and whistles).

Our customers who do use spectralink have Axxess (intertel) systems. Considering the cost for a Spectralink is close to the cost of the Intertel anyways.

We generally don't get a lot of call for cordless with our partner systems...and when we do, we either get them a Trans-Talk or they just use a single-line cordless.

Does the Motorola have the capability to function as an extension? Is there a cordless that you recommend for the Partner that gives the same functionality as an extension?

The engenius on the partner works as an analog ext. The flash key followed by an ext number, or *ext number will do a transfer, or a HFAI annouced transfer respectively.
Many features on the partner will be reachable via an analog ext., and can be programmed into many analog phones as speed dails if they are so equipped. Any thing that can be done on the intercom button of a system multiline phone can be done from an analog ext set to auto line selection to intercom. I believe there is even a code that will substitute for the feature button on an anal;og ext. You can access a specific system line for instance, and other things as well.

You do not always get what you pay for, but you never get what you do not pay for.
