Our Dallas office has an upcoming job involving the Endeavor switch. I have heard that it is either a Partner switch or very similar. Can anyone confirm this? If so, is the programming the same, so they can use a Partner manual? Thanks,

Matt Wray

Hi mattwray,
I could be wrong, but I think it's an early Merlin type product. The early Partner was called a Sprint. Check on the Avaya web site ( -Chris

The earlier versions of the Partner Advanced Communications System were the PECS where the "E" stood for Endeavor. You can actually see this on the processor module itself once you receive it. Of course, another telecom developer could have a product called the "Endeavor" in which case I would be wrong here.

The Endeavor is a partner switch, they don't make it anymore. It sets up just like the ACS, the only difference is that the ACS will let any port be a analog single line where as the Endeavor will only let you use the bottom two ports as single line staions.
