Enabling URL's to resolve without the 'www'

Hey All,

Please forgive my ignorance here, but I have a question, and I'm not sure if its an IIS thing or a DNS thing. I have

http://www.abcxyz.com,

and I would like it also to resolve when a user enters abcxyz.com in their browser.

Can anyone point me in the right direction???

Unless IIS is specifically configured this way regarding host headers, it's a DNS thing. Set up an A or CNAME record for abc.com pointing to

http://www.abc.com.

Upon further inspection, it seems DNS is doing its job. the

http://www.abcxyz.com

URL resolves appropriately, however, the abcxyz.com URL returns an 'Under Construction' page. Seems like an IIS problem, no???

add a hostheader without the

http://www to

IIS.

be aware that if both resolve with a 200 (ok) response it can cause duplicate problems with search engines.

Thanks guys. I actually narrowed the problem down to internal DNS resolution and all of my woes are accounted for and rectified. Thanks again for all of your input!!!
