I was wondering if an admin can enable the Out Of Office from the server? I had couple of users that can't enable due to the permission level(Editor) and so I had to change it to Manager.

Thanks.

I dont think they need to be Manager they just need to be allowed to run agents.

Beware, I think the default for the "Out of Office" agent only runs once a day, so all the people who sent a message will get an "Out of Office" response at that one time the agent is run (which may be 12 hours after the original message was sent!!) You may want make sure it's set to run a little more often than that. I know Outlook sends an immediate Out of Office Reponse.

You can set when the agent executes by opening database (designer client) and modifying agent.

we set ours to run when new email arrives.

agent runs on server not local so permission msut be granted.
