Hello!

I need a little help on enabling AGP support on my video card/Motherboard AGP slot. When I look at my computer settings through "DirectX", it says the "AGP Support" is "not available". Is there a way that I can enable AGP? My video card is a AGP card. The video card works even though theres no AGP support, but it would be nice if it were enabled. Thanx a million!!!

hello,

the AGP support depends on your video card...for example for the 3dfx cards, the card has AGP but it will be not be detectable by 3dfx....3dfx have announce the problem before...and you may also check on your bios setting...that can be get into by pressing delete key on boot up depending on your computer...for dell it's f2. the 3dfx cards are for i think the 3000,3500 series....

Which OS are you using? Which Mainboard and which Gfx-card?

On SuperSocket7 Boards you have to install the AGP-Support drivers (Windows95/NT (SP3 required)) before you install your Gfxcard drivers. Win95 must be at least OSR2.1 and NT 4 requires SP3 for AGP support.

It's true that 3dfx 2000/3000/3500 AGP are cards that fit in an AGP slot but use NONE of its features. That changed with 4500/5500.

thanx for the info.....My chipset is Slot 1/A, im running Win98 SE, and I have a ATI Rage IIc AGP 8meg video card. Where can I get these AGP drivers form? Thanx a million!

hi platinum357

here is the url

for ati drivers..

you may also try to find out the motherboard bios may need updating too...what company makes your motherboard, go to their homepage and find drivers and find firmwire bios..

that might fix the problem too
