We have a STK L-700 and are trying to get some new LTO-2 drives to work. The library has WWN disabeled. It will not give us the option tio change this through the main panel. DO we need to console in to set this option?

This setting is usually setup by STK when they install the unit. If dWWN is disabled, then call your STK rep to have them come onsite to enable it.

Hi..

If only want to attach new tape drives with an FC interface into the library, the library can have an SCSI interface and works fine. You only have to review teh firmware version of your library that eneable the support for the newest tape drivers.

If you want that the library have a FC interface you have ti buy it the card with STK, and the system show the new wwn.

The dWWN (dynamic World Wide Name) its a new development of STK and by default its disabled. But its another thing. You can work with this feature dWWN disabled.
