We have the IP OFFICE 406 V2 installed (via a telecom vendor) and it has been running for about 4 weeks now.

While the vendor is still looking up some outstanding issues, one of the issues I would like to address in this forum. I hope someone can reqognize this problem.

What we would like to create is a user-friendly situation for agents to logon and logoff from a certain group so that the agent can decide for him/herself (not) to take calls for a certain group in which the agent is a member.

All users are supplied with PMP pro, build 3.1.12 and when they use the EnableGroupMembership button on the 5410 phones, when disabled, the flag on the phone disappears (toggle function), but the membership status is not changed in the PMP software environment, like there is a lack of synchronisation between the phone and the PMP software. In effect, the calls are then still routed to the agent. When the membership is changed in the PMP software, then the flag on the phone disappears and everything seems to work fine, just not the other way around, while pressing a button on a phone is much easier.

Has anyone has come accross this problem, and if so, did you solve it?

Make more groepbuttons on the 5410 with
Huntgroup enable and huntgroupnumber.
Give the button the name of the huntgroup

Huntgroupenable 200/Receptie
Huntgroupenable 201/Main
enz

Now you can choose witch huntgroup you want to login/out

My mistake, should have mentioned the correct function.

What you discribe has already been set for a specific group on a 5410 phone. So HuntGroupEnable can be set via a button on the 5410 phone, but the flag enabled is still visible in the user's Phonemanager Pro software, so in effect the agent is not logged of, although the flag in front of the toggle function of the phone has disappeared. Calls for the group are then still routed to his phone, because the function in reality is not turned of in the Phonemanager Pro software. This seems to be a synchronisation issue between the toggle function on the phone and the Phonemanager Pro software.

Your PMP Pro groupmembership problem ( and many more ) will be fixed in the next maintenance release wich should be relased soon.

which release will this be? are you referring to the release of the software within the ip office 406 V2 pbx or a new release of the phonemanager pro software?

There will be maintenance releases for IPO Core, VM Pro and User applications

In the mean time get the agents to use phone manager to control the group member ship

[cheers]

Does someone have some information what the date of release of the new maintenance will be available? Can I find information in regard to this problem on the Avaya site where this problem (and others) are mentioned and addressed in the upcoming maintenance release? If so, can someone provide me with a link (url)?

Read the list of bug fixes in the 3.0 November release, you wil find most current bugs in 3.1.29 wich will be fixed in the 16 December 2005 maintenance release.
Ooops, this date have passed! Avaya were is this 3.1.48 release gone to? In the garbage can?
