Can anyone site me the possible cause of the error? how do i avoid this adapter error? on my PC, the message is something like "Communications error...."

2.WHich maintenance level ?
3.Bad adapter (try diag it or replace)
4.Try checking for the newest 3COM firmware. "Long live king Moshiach !"

AIX version 4.2.0.0

Will this error be solved by RML 4.2.1.06?
Where can i download the latest microcode level for the adapter?

Do this has something to do with the mbuf parameter?
I'm hoping i'll be at the site the next time it will occur so i could check it with netstat -m.

There is a possibility the problem will be solved by the 4.2.1.06.

The latest fiemware you can download from a 3COM site:

http://www.3com.com/products/en_US/downloadsindex.jsp

I personaly think the ML has better chances to help you.
I do not think mbuf is related. "Long live king Moshiach !"

how about c-isam incompatibility issue??
our current configuration is as follow:
DBMS: c-isam
Application development tool: Magic 7.1
AIX: 4.2.0.0
machine: J-40

will RML 4.2.1.06 still will retain the configuration above? especially c-isam?
