Empying the Trash under Panther

Does anyone know of a more effective way of deleting the contents of the Trash without enduring 'protected' or 'locked' file preventions?

I just want to delet everything in the Trash and it won't let me.

there's a free utility called dropnuke that we use on our servers - throw the folder on it and wait...

Just be careful. Don't put the icon next to your icon for your RAID array!!!

You can try writing a Unix script that will force trash everything in the trash folder. Easier said than done though!
