Howdy people!

I'm trying to adapt that template for a slightly different project. I don't need to change much on the template itself, however, I have about 950 names I need to enter in there. I'd love to avoid typing the whole list if I can. So other than finding someone to type it for me, is there any way I can import a text file containing all the names into that spreadsheet, so that the names go into the proper cells?

TIA!

Open the text file in Excel and follow the wizard choosing delimited and what type of delimiter i.e. space.
If the list of names appears in one column, highlight the column and from the main menu select Text to Columns.
Copy into existing template.
Hope this helps.

Not quite actually... but thanks for trying.. Let me clarify what I'm trying to do... I have an existing spreadsheet with data in it. I have a text file with names in it, one name per line. I'm trying to import those names into the existing spreadsheet. First name goes into cell A1, second name into D1, third name into G1, etc... Doing as you suggested would just import the text file into a new spreadsheet.
