hi everyone:

I need everyones help.

this is the problem with my hp 10.20 machine, one of the user can rlogin telnet and su to this hp server with the server prompt the password.
I realized only this user can do it , and rest of the users still have to put passwd in order to login. I already remove the .rhosts and /etc/hosts.equiv files, and I can't think
anything else to fix this problem..

Thanks for any tips to solve this problem.

John

you stated the you removed the .rhost file. for each user there would be a .rhosts file in their home directory.
I am assuming that you removed /.rhost you need to remove $HOME/.rhost file. This should take care of your problem.
