Emergency Calls

We have a monitored line here at my facility that is monitored 24/7 and I need this line be able to show when someone dials an emergency # (911) so we know what line extension it was dialed from. Therefore if something went wrong, we know where the call came from so we can respond to the correct area. Any info on this would be awesome!

You need to configure the ESA data block and configure an OSN set. Then all 911 calls will notify this digital or IP phone.

Awesome thanks. I had no issues configuring an OSN set on certain ext. However, I am having issues configuring ESA data block. Its not taking the commands. Any info on a step by step on that? Sorry for the questions but thank you

Are your users trained to dial 911 or 9+911

What I mean is that in the TTY Terminal, I cant figure how to set up ESA. If Im doing this right. Sorry as I am brand new to this system.

Don't mess with 911 programming if you're not sure what you're doing - call your Nortel/Avaya vendor and have them come in and do it.

Yeah, the calls work, we were just looking for notifications to pop up on certain Extensions. I will get a rep to help, thanks so much everyone for the input and help.

You can only have it notify one set, not multiple sets. The OSN set also logs the call
