Does anyone have experience with the new Clarion CX series. Looking to expand on current compaq solution. Looking specifically at CX600. Need to be able to do Data Replication over a nationwide WAN. Any info would be greatly appreicated.

I have extensive experience with the CLARiiON FC & CX Series arrays, (mostly EMC OEM'd)....

Data Replication over a WAN requires:

(2) CX600's
Navisphere Manager
AccessLogix
MirrorView
& maybe SnapView

Using MirrorView/IP you can do remote array-to-array volume mirroing over your IP network.

Also, just a quick thought, if/when you get ready to set this up, depending on the ammount of existing data you have to migrate, and the bandwith of your IP pipe, it might be a good idea to do a local array-to-array mirror (i.e. using a Fiber Channel patch cable), the once the arrays are sync'd... Ship the 2nd array to it's site, then you only have to sync up the changed tracks over the IP pipe.

If your talking a TB or more, this solution tends to be faster than Syncing that kind of data over a T1 ;)
