I have a ip 500v2 r6.0.9 with embedded VM when a caller leaves a message the system will not release the line. Had the CO put disconnect supervision on the lines did not help.
Does this happen also if you call in over the alog trunk and answer the call with a internal station and then the remote party disconnects but the local phone keeps the link up, if disconnect supervision is ok then the line must be released if not then either check the parameters of the alog line and use monitor ATM trace to see what happens with the disconnect clear tone.
I have the same issue on a similar system where the call comes through the Auto Attend. Once the caller has pressed an option and decides to hangup the call keeps ringing around the office. I have set the disconnect time 150ms below what is provided by the Network Provider as per Avaya recomendations. No change,if you get a solution that would help me.
I had the same issue, and it was the phone companies lines. I had analog lines that were not provisioned correctly. They said they had disconnect supervision; but that still didn't help. They had to change the pairs at the CO. Do you have caller ID on those lines?
If those lines are RCF'ed from another CO you will have disconnect issue. Embedded voicemail will not release it.
I had the same problem.
Reordered new local lines and no problem ever since.
