Hi,

Can anyone direct me to a tutotrial that covers using embeded video with Flash and how to control it? For example, play, stop, fwd and rwnd buttons—maybe even volume.

Currently, I'm importing embeded video as a movie clip and have a simple play button, but would like to give the user the option of pausing the clip at the current frame the playhead is at, and resuming play when pressed again.

Thanks.

If you don't want do get into components (which are often a hassle more than anything else...), here's a simple .swf player that marvelously does everything you require... Well maybe not the volume bit, but that could be easily added.

thanks that works!

- hey oldnewbie, were you able to resolve anything with that transition/preloader movie??

Cheers.

Well a quick fix is to comment out your action on the first frame of your transition clip... But that's not really the correct way of doing it... Working on it, but busy in the next few hours... Maybe for Easter!
