I need to be able to embed numerous textboxes and buttons in a single scrollarea.

Please can someone inform me how this can be done or...

Is it possible to use a table in a scrollarea and nest the textboxes and buttons that way ?

Thanks for any help

Thanks for that pointer. I was able to drop a scrollarea in my .fla and set the contentPath to a separate movieclip with my static text and buttons.

When I test it on my local machine it works fine. When I export the .fla to .swf it works fine on my local machine.

When I upload the .swf to my server the scrollarea appears blank, ie: the contentpath is missing...

Can you please inform me - where & how do I store the files on the server to get this to work ? Do I have to save both movie files in the same folder ?

Any wisdom is appreciated.

Please can you elaborate a little on that? I can certainly add the contentpath to the library but how do I set the linkage id ?

Appreciate your help.

Thanks for that info. I have added the identifier to the movieclip in the library.

How do I pass that identifier on the the scrollarea so that it loads from the library

Thank you. I set the contentpath to the moviecliplinkageID but I am still having an odd problem.

Now the scrollarea square does not appear, nor the scrollbars but just 2 lines of the contentpath movie`s text appears above the loation of where the scrollarea should be!

My contentpath is a 300x900height movie with text and buttons that open popups from within the main movie.

Any wisdom would be appreciated

I figured it out... when I imported the swf into the library I had to set it to type=movieclip.

Once I did that everything seems to be working fine. Thanks again for all the help.

Yes we`re on the same page. The scrollarea contentpath movie had to be added to library and then set to type=movieclip, then linkid-ed.
