Would some kind Galahad, please explain to me how you embed fonts in a document for PDF export. My printer requires this.

I have read the help files and have not found an answer, and I have read myriad forum articles without getting an answer.

...fonts are embedded in the advanced option from the export pdf dialogue, keep it 100% and all should be ok...

...some fonts don't embed due to permissions the fonts have, you printer will soon let you know if this is the case...

...keep you transparency settings to high too...

The safest thing to do if you have used some unusual fonts, or if you receive a message that a certain font cannot embed because of licensing restrictions, is to convert that portion of the text to outlines before making the PDF.

Thanks Eggles. This prompts the next question: How do you convert text to outlines? I have tried every way possible to frame that question in InDesign Help, but get no answer.

...have you tried going to the menu type > create outlines?

Thanks guys, I have successfully exported embedded and subsetted fonts to PDF.
