I searched outcalling and it said dial *07 after logged into mailbox-
When I do that it just repeats " you have no messages"
DO I have to enable something?
It also works with voicemail in IP Officd mode. Search in Manager help for the user source numbers. I didn't ever use it. There is an option to use P or R and the number.
I would also go with forwarding or just inform per mail.
Outcalling is supported with embedded voicemail (both modes and in standard and Basic Edition). But of course anyone using it has to know that it will take up one of their few voicemail channels and make chargeable calls, so yes, a voicemail email alert is a better option for most users.
I am beginning to wonder if I do get outcalling with Embedded VM?
I have upgraded the system to 9.1.3- hoping this might be a bug
But it still does not work.
I do not even get the *07 option when listening to VM help menu
The strange thing is that I have a few other systems running embedded, older releases, and it works fine.
The one thing different on this system is SIP trunks.
On the other systems I have PRI- but this one I have SIP trunks.
But this much is for sure- when I login to the mail box and dial *07 - it says " you have X number messages"
It never gives me the outcalling option.
I might just install an analog trunk and see if that makes a difference
Any further ideas would be appreciated
Thanks
ok- everyone- I figured it out...
In 9.1- there is an option under System>Voicemail- to "turn on" outcalling.
Although I did not see that in the Voicemail documentation.
