Hello,

I was wondering if there would be any complications with using essential edition with embedded voicemail for about 150+ extensions if all of the mailboxes are configured to forward messages to email and not keep a copy.

I know storage wise using embedded wouldn't really wouldn't work unless they all had very small mailbox but I thought what if all the messages were forwarded.

Their current voicemail needs are very simple with just a basic auto attendant and simple voicemail boxes so it would seem overkill to get preferred edition a computer etc.

Thanks,

I can't see a lot of people being daring enough to do this because if it doesn't work you have to support it.

I would slap the sales person that sells something like this but theoretically it should work especially if you forward the messages.
Be aware that the forwarding takes a lot of system resources to compile the messages into plain text which is the only language SMTP can handle and if you get a lot of messages it will get stuck sooner or later and then you have to restart the system and might lose some messages.
