Hello Guys,
Hope someone also encountered this problem as mine.
This is the scenario:

From Sip Provider -> to Agents.....audio is good
From Sip Provider -> to Auto-Attendant(embedded vm)callers can hear the greetings intermmitently(dead-air). We try to press dtmf options during dead-air and the call is forwarded properly.

Second, vm ports are not releasing(do not disturb state).By the way, embedded ports also configured for record-a-call.

3300 rel.9 ur3
vm - 16 ports

Hope someone can share us info especially on sip trunks issue.

Have you checked your gateways that are involved with this especially your E2T if you have one.
it could be one way audio and that is why DTMF is not being detected and the ports are hanging.

Thanks for quick response Supernova

Actually dtmf are working and this issue happens not all the time. During test call, MLAA actually playing the greetings but not consistent. Im thinking of compression license since vm ports use e2t right?

Yes the VM ports do use E2T resources as does compression.
What system do you have?
Do you have an E2T card fitted?

If you do it is possible that you may have some faulty channels.

Have you checked the system/maint logs when this occurs to see if there are any errors generated?

system is CXi rel9 ur3...and no e2t card..im just wondering why it's working and sometimes not....weird huh.....

OK so you will need to check the logs when you get the error
maybe it will provide some clue as to where the fault lies

Also your SIP trunk provider have you checked the interop doc to see if there are any known issues?

Do you get the problem on internal calls at all or is it just on incoming SIP trunks?

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.

@Supernova,unfortunately SIP provider is not on interop list however it's been a year and it's workin fine not until we use embedded vm for MLAA this starts the issue.

@LoopyLou, only on Sip trunks cause we try to use analog trunks and AA audio is also workin fine.

To add on this, we try to capture logs with actual call with audio issue and what we notice is that good call will indicate multi codec( g711,g729 etc.)however on dead-air call it only indicates g711 codec.

Strange, maybe you are encountering Trents issues.
