Embedded hunt group voicemail issue busy message 1

Hi Everyone,
I Currently have an issue with a rel 11 build 8 software with embedded voicemail, with that the voicemail box locks ups and says busy when you go to the voicemail on the phone.
The handset models are 9608 and it's only affecting hunt group voicemail, you can access user voicemail boxes i've used system status and nothing is alarming or say busy or still recording on the voice mail. I have deleted the mailbox and remade a new one but after a while the message comes back with busy. the only way i can clear the message is by dialing in and leaving a new message has anyone else seen
 
I would check SSA when it happens. I don't think there is a time out for VM if some one accidently didn't disconnect after listening. SSA should show the connnection.

Looks like 'build 8' is 11.0.1. I would first upgrade to 11.0.3.

Avaya are currently looking into this for me i will let you know what happens
 
@budbyrd you referenced 11.0.3 support only has 11 SP2 do you have one I can't get?

My bad. They are only up to SP2. I was thinking of 10.1.

Has there been any progress on this issue. I seem to be having the same issue with an embedded hunt group mailbox on version 11.0.0.0.0 build 849.
 
Hi I have a case open with Avaya I suggest you also open a case I’m still awaiting more info back from avaya I’ve been sending traces etc so if you do too it might get resolved quicker

Voicemail busy only for group voicemail. already confirmed that it's not a voicemail channels issue or licensing.

Having the same problem on R11. User mailboxes not affected.
HGMB in VV shows busy but can access via *17.
Any updates?
 
I’m still awaiting Avaya I’ve been sending traces etc.
 
I have found that if you choose any other options in the visual VM the next time you access the visual VM the message will no longer be busy. It is an extra step but at least they can use the visual VM while you wait for a response from Avaya.
 
Has anyone heard an update on this? I'm having the same issue on 11.0.4.0.0 build 74.
 
No The last reply I had said still ongoing and they have noticed this on various levels of release 11 still no official fix as im aware im still awaiting Avaya have you logged a fault about this with Avaya yourself ?
 
Yes I have. they came back wit a "fix" for it, however, their fix didn't fix the issue.
 
We have had the same issue as well. Ticket open. Multiple traces have been sent. Still waiting. I just do not understand why we are made to feel from Avaya that we might be the only ones experiencing it. Yeah, haven't heard of that before....
 
Hi I have heard back from Avaya there is not going to be a patch for this problem they are going to bring out the fix in November in the next release of software build 11 so nothing will be fixed until then if I hear anything more before the date I will let you all know.


Its better to burn out than fade-away
 
I have encountered this same issue with 2 clients as well and is still an issue.
