Good morning,

I have created a formula field that contains an email address and hyperlink and am trying to bolt it on to the end of some text in another formula field, the problem is however that when I do this, the email part loses it's hyperlink capability.

The reason I need to do this is that the text changes in content and length dependent on various reasons within the first formula, but will always need the email address at the end. If I try simply add the email address seperately in the design window, then its pretty much impossible to ensure only one space between the end of the text and beginning of email address to due the differing lengths of what is returned from the original formula !

Any ideas ?

Cheers

Sorry... am using Crystal Reports Developer V.X1

why don't you place the email and the text formula on different sections

and set the suppress blank section on the text one

Hi Guys,

Thanks for your help, but none of these options seem to work. The first one doesn't seem to do anything and the second one still gets rid of the hyperlink property !!

Would be good if you could control the spacing between objects in the report a little easier, especially when you have the "Can Grow" option set to "No Limit"

Will carry on working on it and will post a solution if I can find one

if the two fields you mentioned are the only one used on your report then the two sections option should be working just fine.

when you place a field that might be blank in a section you can set the option to suppress the section if there is nothing to display thus saving space on your report.
