I've searched for answers everywhere but couldn't find one, atleast couldn't find one I was happy with. So this is my situation:

On a form I want to embed a view that is in an other database. So I searched google groups and I found out that this isn't possible. Alright.. so, I want to create a view containing documents that are in an other database. Again searched google groups, couldn't find an answer. So I thought about creating a frameset containing the form in the above frame and the view in the below frame. But then the entire view is shown and I only want one category to be shown. So.. Does anybody know an answer to one of my 3 problems?

Thanks in advance,

Glenn

Complicated, roundabout solution :

1) Copy the view from the reference database (R) to the work database (W)
2) create document stubs in the W database that contain only the fields that are shown in the view in R (agent that copies over the fields into new documents and puts a doclink to the R document - you'll probably have to schedule updates also, meaning linking with the UNID and checking doc per doc for changes)
3) create a form that opens the document in R when opened in W using the properties to open first link on form open
4) now that you have a "replica view", you can single-category it or play with it to your heart's content (almost)

So how's that for a backwards solution ? :)

Pascal.

I've got nothing to hide, and I'd very much like to keep that away from prying eyes.
