Emails in Fedora Core 2 2

I'm using a webserver with Fedora Core 2 installed with a Plesk control panel. I've been using the Plesk CP up to now to manage the server. I would like to script email creation somehow - but I do not know what files are created or any other processes that are required. Could anyone give me any advice or point me to some good info on the subject?

ah, yeah... I'm using Qmail as the MTA

If you don't understand qmail, anything I (or others say) would not have the proper context around your implementation, constraints, needs, security considerations, etc.
