Hi,

I am using Crystal Reports Xi and infoview.

I have a number of reports set up to email automatically in infoview (enterprise). Recently the database changed and the reports started coming out blank. I changed the reports in infoview and although they are now fine when run manually, the emailed reports are still blank.

Does anyone know how I can get the emailed reports to be updated without having to set up the emails again?

Thanks

Simon

Hello Simon,

maybe you should set the schedule again? In CE some changes to the report don't immediately have affect on the output of the schedule. After setting the schedule again, all changes take place.

Jeroen.

Thanks for your help.

I was trying to avoid resetting as I will need to reset quite a few. do you know where I can find out which changes do not have an immediate effect?

Thanks

Simon

This has been discussed in some earlier threads... (don't know which ones)

Jeroen.

Log into CMC, find the report click on the schedule tab and just click update if the report is on-demand. If it's scheduled, then change it to today's date and click Update, then click schedule. When the history appears, delete the old "recurring" schedule.

(actually, if you don't want the schedule to run directly after you reset is, you must make sure that not only the schedule date=today, but also the schedule time>now. otherwise the schedule will start immediately. So if you want to reschedule a schedule that usually runs earlier than that moment, select 'today+1')

When I am notified that my reports failed or was bad, I normally make the necassary updates and schedule it Now so it will replace the bad report and schedule the next run tomorrow morning.
