I am after any suggestions.

Basically most email software allows attaching a signature
either text, graphic, or html. (I am using Lotus Notes r5).

If you use a image file, often when sending a email to someone else you find the signature becomes a attachment.

And is not displayed in the body of the email.

Which makes having the signature useless, as most people just ignore the file.

Is their anyway to prevent this from happening.

I suspect scanning for viruses, by the mail server.
And often the file is transformed to another format.

This depends on whether the recipient has the full version of Outlook or if they have Outlook Express or another mail application. If you attach your electronic signature to a mail and send it to someone with just Express, it will be received as a winmail.dat file and will not be displayed as your signature. If they have the full version of Outlook it will. Just one of those silly things which drives us all crazy !

Hope this helps.

Best regards,
Pat Ansin
