We have a VPN link with another site. Both sites have their own domains, active directory and Exchange server.

Up to now, the Exchange servers have pushed mail destined for the other site directly over the VPN link to the other server, and all other mail is routed out over the internet.

We have had to remove the VPN link and now need to route ALL email out to the internet, regardless of whether it is destined for the other site or not.

I have removed the other server from the Local Bridgehead list in each case, but mail for the other site still goes into the local queue, not the queue for pushing out though the internet.

How can we force all email out through the internet?

Thanks
Paul

Yes, went there first, and there's a single SMTP connector pushing email out through a smarthost, so I can't see why it's routing email for the other site into a separate local queue.
Thanks
