When I send out a group e-mail, I am in the group, I get the email sent to me 20 times. Once for each member in the group. I spoke to my collegues, and they do get the message. The IT department has no idea what the problem is, does anyone know? It happens from whatever my location in the school's network is, so I don't think it is the client in my classroom. It does it in webaccess as well.
Thank you very much for your imput.

What is the GroupWise version? And service pack level?

I have seen this problem before, but when I addressed it, it was related to the GWIA (Internet in bound mail).

It is GroupWise 7.0. I don't know the service pack, they just updated all the clients on the computers a few weeks ago (we were on 6.0) so I guess it would be the most recent service pack.

Public support on 7.0 is gunna be difficult, it was just recently released and I personally have not yet used it or upgraded anyone to it (yet).

i have a test 7 server but never use groups - will need to have a play

your best bet is to post a question on novell's groupwise forum
7 is handy just now as it's danita zanre that is answering a lot of the post - if she doesnt know then your screwed

Done GW7 a few times. Not much different as far as overall functionality and management.

Did the groups have problems before your upgrade? And you are talking about personal address book groups, not Distribution lists, right? How are you sending the email with the groups? Are just entering the group name in the TO field and that's it? Or are you doing something different?

I don't use Groups much but did do a quick test on my GW7 system and couldn't make it happen like you described.

It is a distribution list. I have been told it was created with e-directory. I just type in the name of the distribution list in the to field. Everyone has access to the list. It never did this before the upgrade.

Ok, Distribution lists are a lot different than groups. So now that we're all on the same page, maybe someone has some ideas. I'll do a test on mine and see what happens.

Thank you for your help. Any help is appreciated! I hope that is not taking too much time from your day.
