Email links not working

I’m finding that email (mailto links are not being recognised. I’m buiolding and testing with a Mac. I test with 3 browsers including OE5. The link should launch an email client. I get an error message in Safari saying that Mac OSX doesn’t recognise mailto: links.

u do have an exteranl mail program or IE configured to handle mail?

Yes, works fine on other sites.

Links work OK on the PC so I think it’s a strange Mac issue
