Here's the situation:
I have files on a server that all users have access to. My users send emails to eachother with hyperlinks to the server files. All but one of my users can open these correctly. When they click the link, it opens the file.
One of my users is different. He showed up from a remote office with his old windows 98 PC. When he tries to open a hyperlink, it opens Internet Explorer and he recieves an error message that the file cannot be downloaded because of securty restrictions.
I know he has NTFS & Sharing permissions for the file. I set his IE security to Low just to check that and he still receives security errors. XLS file types are set to automatically open with Excel, not IE.
Am I missing something? Any thoughs would be appreciated.
