We have been using "email enable" on folders but saw the "Email Folder" type. I like this as it shows the "to" and "from" columns, etc... but the "email enable" option doesn't show up for the Email Folder. How do we email to this folder?

The eLink Enable/Disable options are not configured to support the eMail Folder SubType. It should be simple to add the eMail Folder into the _NodeTypes list of the WebNodeCMD and WebNodeAction and then test as a little further code may be required.

Thank you. I'll say I'm confused as to why they made an email folder if we can't email enable it.. how do we send emails to this?
Even when I try the laborous drag and drop method, the "to" and "from" columns are blank. Just trying to figure out how to best utilize this folder.

think it comes from the fact that the elements are from two distinct modules, the email folder comes as part of the Explorer package, which includes integration with Office, Acrobat, so I expect helps display emails - which when added properly have a subtype of 749, as opposed to when normally added when they have a the document subtype (144).

The email in functionality comes from the eLink module and allows content to be emailed in by just CC'ing the email address of the container - e.g. folder, discussion etc - in your email and then the content and attachments are added to Livelink assuming that the user has permissions.

As they are both optional modules, you can't expect to have both installed, so you will need to patch the code. Additionally as mentioned above, eMails have two subtypes in Livelink and the latter, 749, has the to and from etc popultaed - although you can call the functions to populate the info tables too.
