Anyone has this working correctly where any file sent to a specific email addres (connected to the sharepoint server) will post the file automatically to sharepoint?
Greatly appreciated.
Most all of the SharePoints I have deployed are email enabled and its pretty well documented. You have to setup your smtp services/server configure sharepoint to pickup the mail from the mail root drop folder. Make sure you have an mx record for the SharePoint server etc.
Once its email enabled you can always use forwarding etc if you want to use a different address.
However if you are looking for the setting on how a Document Library stores the attachments go to your Doucment Library then Settings then Incoming Email Settings and then look for the "Group attachments in folder"
Thanks for your reply. I think files in the drop folder gets forwarded to Queue folder. I see some files being distributed but most are stuck in the Queue. I was never able to send an email from my corp exchange to the sharepoint even though i've setup accoding to docs. But when I add security rights to a user, (there is a checkbox to send a notification that he/she was added) this emails do reach my corporate emails. I don't have access to the AD or DNS so I have to find a different way to add the MX alias to the list. I tried a relay server but no success there.
