Whenever I send reply (by clicking the Reply button) of my ---Browser Netscape 4.74--- to an email received from one of my friends, his complaint is that I was sending him attachments with the reply and he is scared to open them. While as I am sure that I have not attached any file to him!
Latest example:
Stage-1. I sent him an email telling that one company has started free Internet connection here. I gave the URL of the company so that he would know about it himself. Since it was a maiden/ not connected to any previous email to him he says that it had no attachment with it. Fine.
Stage-2. He replied to this mail of mine and must have used the Reply button.
Stage-3. To this email (from stage-2) I replied the same mail further explaining that the free Internet service was not available in his city. Now it is here that he says that this reply had two attachments.
Why so please?

Each attachment may just be a text header from the previous message that details send/receive information, time/date, etc... I've noticed our GroupWise sometimes does this also, just haven't checked into how to get rid of it. In Netscape, check under Edit, Preferences, Mail & Newsgroups, Messages - then under Forwarding and Replying to Messages, change the 'By default, forward messages:' pulldown from 'As Attachment'. Depending on which one you choose, your replies/forwards can be shown as part of the message you're sending. [sig][/sig]

Nothing happens by changing the options at ' By default, forward messages'. I have already tried it and the complaint is same from the recipient of the mail replies.

I don't have any ideas, but what kind of attachments are they receiving? extention?

Just corrected the problem, if ur using Netscape messenger,
it is possibly a mischief of some virus, just delete the unsent messages folder completely from the system. dont worry it will be recreated the next time u reopen messenger. dont backup any mails in unsent messages you have to sacrifice them. I think this should solve ur problem

What are you using.
Some times mail received from NOTES will say there is an attachment.
