I had a user today ask me if there was a way to have the email address auto pop up in the to field when he starts typing the email address.....i know this is true in outlook express but could i setup my exchange 2000 to do this? or would it be on the outlook side. we do have a global address list there just to lazy to hit the address book and type a few letter of the name and hit to.

thanks for the help

Hello Lee,

Just a stab in the dark here...

Go to the Address book and under the "tools" menu select options.

When the next window opens at about halfway down is a box that says: "When sending mail...",

Make sure the Global Address List is the top selection.

Then close those windows and shutdown Outlook and then restart Outlook and that should correct the issue.

Hope this helps,

Wyz
